Wisconsin is located in the northern part of the United States and is considered to be part of the Midwest. It is the 23rd largest state, with 65,497.82 square miles of land covering five geographic regions. The northern region is called Lake Superior Lowlands and is a parcel of land along Lake Superior. The region directly south is named the Northern High and has hardwood and coniferous woodland, along with 1,500,000 acres of national state forest. Located in the center of the state is the Central Plains region.Confused? Here ‘s a little help . This region is known for its interesting sandstone formations found in the Dells of the Wisconsin River. The Eastern Ridges and Lowlands is the region to the southeast where many of Wisconsin’s larger cities are located. The fifth and last region in the southwest of the state is the Western Upland. This region is a mixture of rich forest, farmland, and many cliffs along the Mississippi River.

Because the state has many acres of woodland and natural forests, and is surrounded to the north and east by water, the wildlife in Wisconsin is quite abundant. This includes Black Bear, Timber Wolves, White-tail Deer, Elk, Bobcat, Wild Turkeys and Water Fowl.

There are a total of 6 major bays located in Wisconsin with many waterways and inlets flowing from the large lakes and bays. Green Bay is one of the largest located in the Eastern Ridges and Lowlands region, at 120 miles long and 10 miles wide. Pokegama Bay is one of the smallest bays and is located in the far northwest corner of the state in the Lake Superior Lowlands.

Wisconsin’s diverse system of natural bays and inlets impact the economy by allowing commercial vessels to enter the waterways and deliver their goods to the Midwest and beyond.

Any fisherman worth their salt knows that some of the best fishing to be had is in any one of the incredible bays of Wisconsin. However, if you’re looking for the smallmouth bass then you won’t find a better place to look for this elusive fish than Chequamegon Bay. So if it’s a fantastic fishing experience you’re seeking than get some directions to Chequamegon Bay, get your gear, activate your ADT home security system, notify the neighbors and hit the road.

Chequamegon Bay is a large, shallow bay with a mix of sand and rock. Several streams and rivers empty out into the Chequamegon lending the bay to a rich diversity of both fish and other forms of wildlife. However, if you’re looking for something a little more substantial than catch-and-release then you may need to wait until later in the season. The Wisconsin DNR has created an aggressive protection program around the smallmouth bass in order to protect their spawning.

The bay is a prime location for fly fishing from May to June with mostly agreeable weather allowing for ideal fishing conditions. However, you should be prepared because the weather over these bodies of water has been known to change at the drop of a hat.

Wisconsin is such a lovely state nestled alongside the magnificent Lake Michigan, and pleasantly located in the heartland. Wisconsin is covered in green pastures and farmland, yet speckled and bordered by the blue waters of lakes and rivers. When the glaciers carved their way down through the midwest they left deposits of rich soil that both creates the perfect conditions for rich fields, but also heavy woodlands.

These woodlands have been home to thousands of different kinds of wildlife that run, romp and crawl across its undergrowth. For this reason hunters and gamesmen have been flocking to Wisconsin for ages to get their sights on animals of all different species. Whether they have wings or four fur covered legs. Wisconsin has been harboring a vast wealth of species making it a prime spot for hunting and gaming.

The fact that you don’t have to drive more than an hour, in any direction from any spot in the state makes it even more appealing. Wisconsin has a number of large rivers connecting the lakes and streams that mostly feed back into Lake Michigan. Fishermen love Wisconsin’s rivers and lakes for the fish that are continuing to grow bigger and bigger every year.

If the economy is weak, you are going to be guaranteed that the environment, and the surroundings in the state of Wisconsin are also going to suffer. In Wisconsin, as in any other US state (or even any country around the world), if things are not going well, that state is not going to have the funds to utilize, in order to beautify the cities, and to really make up the state in the places it needs work. From construction work, to schools, to jobs, to anything that requires money to be done, and in order to run the programs, if the economy in the state is down, it is going to be very difficult for the state to be able to work on certain projects.

So, when there are limited funds, the local city government officials are going to have to turn elsewhere for funding. Since the state government does not have the means to offer the funding, the cities are going to have to turn to smaller groups, and local officials (who are wealthy), in order to get the funds required to work on projects, and in order to really make the developments and do the work which has to get done.
